Tomorrow is National Peanut Cluster Day. Yes, there’s a food holiday for everything! But don’t scoff … these holidays can be great justification for indulging in a particular treat that’s been calling your name. Or remembering a special treat that will perk everyone in the house up a bit! I’ve always loved Chocolate-Covered Peanut Clusters. I’m being a redundant here as I don’t know of any peanut clusters that are not chocolate covered (thinks like peanut brittle don’t count), but the chocolate part is really important, right? Yeah, I thought so, too!

This Crockpot Wassail from Stephanie at A Year of Slow Cooking is one of my very favorite hot beverages. It’s wonderful for serving a small crowd (or a big family). The combination of flavors in this wassail is simply incredible! With ingredients like apple cider, pineapple juice, honey, an orange, cinnamon, cloves, one would expect this wassail to be good, but I am truly surprised each time I make it at just how wonderful this wassail truly is. This recipe is family friendly, but Stephanie says that adults are free to add brandy shots to their mugs before filling with wassail. Now that really makes for a warming wassail!
