Lynn of Lynn’s Kitchen Adventures came up with this Banana Split Milkshake for her daughter who loves banana splits. She says that it “is just like a banana split in a glass. The perfect combination of ice cream, chocolate, and banana.”
Have you made homemade pudding before? It’s really quite easy. Yes, it does take a little patience to stand at the stove and stir, but I’ve always enjoyed the process of making pudding. That act of devoted attention for a short span of time can calm the “monkey brain” and the pudding you get in the end is far superior to any ready-made pudding you can buy. Plus, making your own pudding can be a fairly frugal endeavor and you get to control the ingredients. This vanilla pudding is actually a great way to use leftover egg yolks.
There are some of us who think that adding chocolate makes just about any recipe MUCH better. I see you’re nodding your head! So when I saw Lynn’s (Lynn’s Kitchen Adventures) recipe for gluten-free Chocolate Angel Food Cake, I knew I had to save it for future reference. Make it because it’s National Angel Food Cake Day (October 10), a special occasion like a loved one’s birthday, you want to turn on the oven to warm up the house, you used egg yolks in another recipe and need to use the whites you set aside, or it’s simply a day you deserve cake (every day?). Oh, and this recipe is naturally dairy free, so even more of you can enjoy this cake!
