Patty Shells from Simply Gourmet

Sherron of Simply Gourmet admits that she would never have given fancy and delicate desserts a thought a few years ago. But when a gluten-full blogger recently shared Rosettes and Patty Shells (also called timbales), she was absolutely “mesmerized” and knew she had to make gluten-free versions. She thought they’d be lovely for all types of celebrations. She’s absolutely right.

After three straight days of making  rosettes dusted with powdered sugar and filled patty shells, Sherron had figured out the ideal frying temperature and cooking time for her gluten-free versions. She spread some custard over the base of her patty shells and then filled them with fruit. The results are beautiful and, dare I say, mouth watering. And, good news, Sherron shows you how you can set up a fruit bar with various fillings—fruits, custards, and yogurts—so that your guests can fill their own patty shells as they wish!

  1. I have to admit, it would be nice to have some pretty looking shells for some desserts I have in mind. I’m going to give this a full look over when I wake up. Sounds delish!
