Pink and red are the star colors of Valentine’s Day.Well, that is, if one does not consider chocolate a color, and I do. But I digress. These sensational Pretty in Pink Balls are what their creator, Monica Bhide of A Life of Spice, calls an Indian-inspired dessert. One of the main ingredients—and a surprising one to me even when I consider the Indian influence—is paneer, which is Indian cheese. The other ingredients are more traditional and mainstream. One of them is sweetened condensed milk. Another is ricotta cheese. The spices used in these treats determine the final flavoring outcome. Intrigued, yet? I thought so. Monica says she only makes these goodies for her boys once or twice a year. I am sure that “limited time offer” makes these rich pink treats even more appealing!
