This Oatmeal Cookie Apple Crisp from Alisa at Go Dairy Free does not actually contain oatmeal cookies, but Alisa says that the topping reminds her of a brown sugar-sweetened oatmeal cookie. In fact, she called it a “magical cookie experience.” Who doesn’t want a magical cookie experience when eating apple crisp?
Alisa’s husband also loved this recipe and even ate it for breakfast. Alisa thought it was too sweet for breakfast, but she did enjoy hers topped with almond yogurt. Now that does sound like breakfast to me! Note Alisa’s reminder on using certified gluten-free oats if you’re gluten free.
