Individual Pavlovas from Jenn Cuisine

Pavlova is another classic dessert that’s naturally gluten free, much like Chocolate Mousse and Crème Brulee. You know how much I love such desserts, and you should as well. These desserts are often safe bets when dining out, but one has to inquire about cross contact controls and still do “due diligence” to ensure the end product is gluten free. Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert said to be named after the Russian ballet dancer Anna Pavlova. Pavlova is a bit crisp on the outside and soft and light on the inside. It is usually decorated with fruit and topped with whipped cream and tends to show up on holidays and for other special celebrations in homes and at fine restaurants.

These Individual Pavlovas from Jenn at Jenn Cuisine are simply gorgeous and will allow you to tweak each dessert to accommodate any specific preferences for fruit toppings. The meringues are made of only egg whites and sugar. The remaining ingredients are simply cream whipped with sugar and your fruit of choice. Jenn uses berries in her version. For a dairy-free option, try Honey Whipped Cream or Honey Cinnamon Whipped Cream, both of which rely on the chilled cream from canned coconut milk. Even with the whipped cream topping and added fruit, you can make this extremely elegant and exquisite dessert with just five ingredients!
