Gluten-Free Cream Cheese Cookies from The Daily Dietribe

Oh, the cut-out heart cookies, they really are a must for most Valentine’s Day celebrations, aren’t they? We all know about butter cookie and sugar cookie versions of cut-out cookies. But Iris at The Daily Dietribe decided to re-create her Grandmother’s recipe for Cream Cheese Cookies. “Buttery melt-in-your mouth Cream Cheese Cookies.” And she succeeded! If you’re dairy free, you can find Iris’ dairy-free version of the Cream Cheese Cookies here. (The latter are not cut-out cookies, but they look wonderful as well.) Don’t you just love the sweet little touch of the perfectly placed chocolate chip that Iris added to her heart cookie?

  1. Thanks Shirley! I was so excited to post this recipe that I forgot a very important detail in the directions. Baking time! I didn’t realize it until a reader e-mailed me yesterday to ask how long to bake them. LOL. I think that’s what happens when you’re helping to care for a newborn baby. Small details just go out the door. :)

  2. Loving the heart cookie and chocolate chip! Such cuteness in time for Valentine’s Day!

    • Hi Lindsey–Welcome to AGFD! I thought that chocolate chip and its placement was a simple stroke of whimsical genius on Iris’ part. ;-) It looks like you have a brand new blog … congrats and welcome to the blogging community! :-)
