Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Muffins with Honey Frosting from Civilized Caveman Cooking Creations

George of Civilized Caveman Cooking Creations calls this recipe his “AMAZING Cinnamon Chocolate Chip Muffin topped with a Honey Frosting and crushed pecans.” One look at his photo and you’re bound to agree with that description.

George is all about true confessions in this post. First, he made me chuckle when he admitted that he had accidentally leaked the photo on Facebook with his lack of experience on Instagram and suddenly realized that he better get busy typing! (I’ve made similar errors.) Then George confessed that he’d cheated on his 21-Day Sugar Detox to create and sample these muffins. They’re comprised of real food ingredients like eggs, honey, butter, coconut flour, coconut milk, and pecans and again, you’ve seen his photo of these beauties. So can we really fault George for his transgression? I didn’t think so.

  1. Shirley (and George), these look absolutely delicious! It’s 11pm, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to wait until tomorrow to make them! =) At least my girls will be overjoyed if they get to have a treat for breakfast!

  2. These look wonderful! I haven’t cooked with coconut flour yet but it would be worth buying some just to make these!

    • Vicky–You will love coconut flour! Yes, you need to buy some to make George’s muffins and I can’t wait to see what else you create when you start experimenting with coconut flour. :-)
