I love snow. I never tire of it. Of course I live in Virginia, and we don’t usually get a lot of snow, although I remember big snows from my childhood and we did have record setting snowfalls a few years back. I like at least a little snow every winter. I like it when snow seemingly stops just about everything and the world quiets to a hush. Even when there’s no snow in the forecast, we can enjoy these no-bake Chocolate Hazelnut Snowballs from Lisa at Pocketfuls.
Lisa says she got the original concept of nut butter balls from The All Natural Allergy Cookbook, Dairy Free, Gluten Free, but that she has tweaked the ingredients over the years until she came up with this version. She says it is the best yet. Judging by the ingredients—hazelnut butter, honey, cocoa powder, hazelnuts, and coconut—I’m guessing she’s right! As presented here, these treats are perfect for the holidays, but they would work just as well for Valentine’s Day. Serve these Chocolate Hazelnut Snowballs in heart mini-cupcake wrappers or on a silver tray topped with a red doily.

My favorite fella is a chocolate hazelnut fiend. These are going to make a terrific Valentine’s Day gift!
Oh, Johnna, you’ll have fun making these amazing treats! Will you package them up or just surprise your guy with them ready to eat on the table? I love the idea of packaging these for a number of loved ones using those little boxes that we’ve saved from receiving jewelry, lining them with tissue paper, and otherwise gussying them up. Homemade chocolates/truffles, etc. are such a treat! Your “favorite fella” is going to be happy!

I do plan to gussy them up with a cute package of some sort. He’s going to be over the moon about these!
Johnna–It’s such fun to plan a special treat that you know will be so well received!
