I’m including this Apple Cranberry Pie from Heather at Celiac Family in both the Pies and the Buckles/Cobblers/Crisps category. I think it deserves double billing and it would be a shame for folks looking for a delicious non-pie fruit recipe to miss this one!
If you’re looking for great ways to use the last peaches of summer, Kalyn (Kalyn’s Kitchen) said this Slow Cooker Low Sugar Peach Crisp disappeared quickly at her house! Naturally sweet and juicy peaches are topped with a lightly sweetened, oat and almond topping and then slow cooked on high for 2 hours. Kalyn told me that this dessert reminds her of her grandmother’s peach cobbler, which was her “favorite childhood dessert memory.” Now that’s a recommendation!
Cara of Fork and Beans has done us all such a huge favor by creating this 4th of July Watermelon Cake! Most of us do not want to turn on the oven right now. Correction … some of us absolutely refuse to turn on the oven. There might be a few exceptions, of course, but when it’s really hot, we turn to our grills and slow cookers for all kinds of recipes—yes, even desserts—but the ones we really like are the recipes that have two words in the titles— no-bake!
